Imperial Apartments at the Imperial Palace and Sisi Museum

The Vienna Imperial Palace (Hofburg) used to be the residence of the Habsburg dynasty for over 600 years. Visit the ceremonial rooms and residential apartments used by Emperor Franz Joseph and his beloved wife Sisi to gain insight into what life was like at the Vienna Court. Follow the traces of mysterious Empress Elisabeth at the Sisi Museum. Numerous exhibits on display will guide you through the many aspects of Sisi's fascinating personality. Explore her rebellious side, her beauty-conscious side and her poetic side. Your ticket also gives you access to the Chamber of Court Silver, showing an exquisite collection of imperial household goods and tableware, including valuable china. Find you own and very personal approach to this extravagant Empress.

Dinner

Café-Restaurant Residenz is located in the so-called Ehrenhof ("Court of Honor"), adjacent to the palace's main entrance. An elegant three-course candlelight dinner awaits you. In summer, dinner will be served in the cozy outside dining area.

Concert

As a grand finale of an eventful day, you will attend a concert of classical music at Schoenbrunn Palace Orangery. This historic Baroque hall, which, being a part of Schoenbrunn Palace, has been declared a UNESCO world heritage site, was highly appreciated by the Habsburg royalty. We have revived this tradition by offering a concert that you will remember long after having left Vienna. The renowned Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna presents the most famous works written by W.A. Mozart and Johann Strauss, the "King of Waltz". This enchanting music will be accompanied by the performance of vocalists and ballet dancers that will delight your eyes and ears alike.

Concert hall

On selected days, concerts may take place in the Great Gallery or the White Gold Room located inside Schoenbrunn Palace, at the Schoenbrunn Palace Theater or in other concert halls in Vienna. We will be happy to send you the detailed concert plan upon request.

Imperial Apartments and Sisi Museum opening hours

Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., July and August open until 5:30 p.m.!

We recommend that you start your visit at 3:00 p.m. at the latest.

Individual guests do not need to make an appointment for visiting the Imperial Apartments at the Imperial Palace. We will be happy to organize guided tours for groups, in the language of your choice, upon request.

Document pick-up

You can either pick up your documents at our office located at the Orangery, open daily from 9:00 a.m. or you can opt for our delivery service:

Delivery: Our guests have the choice of receiving their documents in the mail or having them deposited at their hotel.

Public transport tickets: The package also includes two one-way tickets for easy and convenient public transport in Vienna.
